Stamp Crazy with Alison

Make n’ Takes from Convention!

Hello Stampers,

We had such a great time in our jammies at the Dream Big Pajama Party.  We were able to make six fabulous make n’ takes projects.

100_56951 The first make n ‘ take uses the "Wanted Set" and Designer Papers.  I wasn’t sure about this set when I saw it in the catalogue but once I saw all the neat ideas at Convention I’m so glad that this was one of our FREE sets.  This is a perfect set for the men in your lives, even if they don’t ride horses.  Here’s another sample using the same set. 100_56961   We used the Crop-A-Dile to make the embossed dots on the pull out pieces – so clever!  We also were able to set the jumbo eyelets easily and quietly.

100_5702 This is a 12 x 12 scrapbook page using the Build a Flower Accents & Elements kit – so easy!

We also decorate the little tin the elements come in and made a quick card case that could be filled with cards and given as a gift.  You could make this little tin purse along with 4 cards in less than 1 hour…much less.  100_5736

My favourite stamp set from the new catalogue is Define Your Life along with the Defining Alphabet.  I resisted purchasing it on my first order but broke down at Convention and bought it.  The price of $65.95 seems like a lot but if you consider that you get 28 definitions that would suit any occasion it works out to $2.50 per stamp – they would be at least $10 in a stamp store so it’s wonderful value and the definitions are beautiful.  100_5697_0001 Here’s a simple card using the 2 sets together along with elements from the Pretties Kit.  So elegant when teamed with the Chocolate Chip wide Gros Grain.  The 3 x 3 format makes it fast and easy to whip up tons of cards!

Happy Stamping!

Alison
