Hello Stampers,
I love cards that are interactive and made these for an upcoming class (Saturday, Sept 22 at 3:00 pm) I’m offering. I still have a few openings if you are interested in coming.
The first one is a slider card but instead of sliding the object I stamped the salutation to slide out from behind the main image. I love this Halloween Haunting stamp set which is on sale this month during the Fall Frenzy promotion.
The first view shows the image of the cat alone – when you pull the ribbon the hidden message slides out from behind the cat!
This is a spinner card which are really fun to make and wonderful to receive – old and young alike love how the obejct "spins" across the card. I’ve made some cute ones using a soccer ball so it looks like the ball is rolling across the grass. This one uses the snowflake from the Season of Joy and SNOW jumbo wheel from the Holiday Mini Catalogue. The channel for the spinner is easily created using Stampin’ Up!’s Word Window punch – so easy!!
I embossed the Snow wheel and snowflake with Versamark and Silver embossing powder. I wanted to incorporate the scallop punch as part of the spinner mechanism.
The next card is a Shaker card – these are also easy to make once you get the hang of it. I used the new Dashing Designer Papers and a new set called Fun and Fast Notes. The set is great because it covers off a lot of holidays and occassions all in one place.
Lastly I created a fun, masculine (or horse lover) card using the Wanted Set and the Outlaw Designer Series papers. I wanted the horse to look like it was running across the card (must have been
influenced by my daughter’s animation figures she shows me) for added motion. I stamped the horse in Chocolate Chip and then stamped it again without reinking. I just repeated it on all 4 square. For the greeting I wanted to use the sentiment from the set "Wanted" and so paired it up with my favourite set, Define Your Life, and used the definition for "You"…so it ended up being "Wanted…YOU!). I love the way it turned out.
Thanks for looking…
Happy Stamping,
Alison
