Stamp Crazy with Alison

…and NOW back to our regular programming…

Hello Stampers,

100_6219_2  I’m not sure how many of you have kids that play sports but I seem to constantly be vacuuming up those little black pellets from the artificial turf that get stuck on my son’s cleats and then only seem to dislodge once they hit my house.  If I’m not vacuuming up the grass, pellets and other outdoor coming indoor stuff I’m washing jersey’s.  My son, Ian, plays on three different soccer teams – he’s a Hyack, a East Van Halen (don’t ask) and a Royal City United.  I’m surprised he remembers which jersey is for which team.

I’m just glad it’s one sport and cleats, shin pads and uniforms don’t take up much space and the best part is they are washable so no stink like hockey. 🙂

Speaking of sports – how about those Red Sox?!!!  What a great team – love baseball.  My favourite team is the Toronto Blue Jays, followed very closely by the Red Sox and lastly…any team that’s playing the Yankees. LOL  Sorry Yankee fans!

Yesterday I had a class called Fancy Folds – we made four cards that all required a different kind of fold as part of their construction.

100_62282 The first one is a Wiper Card – when you pull the 2 ends apart a secret message pops up.

The second card is a Hidden Message card – it’s kind of like 100_62301 oragami or like Fortune Tellers that we made as kids.   You can open the card in 2 different ways to reveal secret messages.

100_62271 100_62261 The third card is a Triangle Card.

Lastly we made a card that I’ll call a Peek A Boo card because I 100_62241 don’t know what to call it.  It’s made with a 4 x 12" strip of cardstock which is scored at 3, 6 and 9" forming four panels.  The 2nd and 3rd are glued together to create a little book.

We had fun although the cards were challenging!

Happy Stamping,

Alison

Love your cards! How hard is it to make a wiper card?
