Stamp Crazy with Alison

The more we get together…

October 6, 2007 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

Like the song says "The more we get together the happier we are!" and that is never more true when it’s my downline get togethers each month.  We laugh, stamp, laugh, stamp, laugh some more.  We feed off the energy that each of us brings to our meetings and with our love of stamping in common anything is possible.

We start the meeting with our make n’ takes – this month I designed one card and Pam Lee designed the other.  Here they are:

Each meeting we play some type of game based on Stampin’ Up! products/specials/techniques.  This month our game was based on "Pictionary" – it was so much fun!  Here Eleonor and Pam are frantically drawing "Be Happy" – the funny thing is they both took the same approach – instead of drawing images from the set they drew a "bee" and a "happy face"..too funny.

What would a meeting be with some WOW demos?  Kristy wowed us with her "genie bag" for halloween.  So cute!

100_6143 Eleonor demoed how you can take the Level 1 hostess set called "So Many Sayings" and cut them into individual sentiments by mounting them on the ends of dominos.  I believe this was a tip shared at one of the recent Stampin’ Up! Regional conferences – so now instead of having all my sayings mounted on 3 blocks – 33 different images, 11 on each block – I have 33 separated words/images to use.  The placement is so easy!  Here’s Eleonor with her cards using the little sayings from the set.

100_6144 It was another successful meeting with my wonderful downline!  If you want more information about becoming a demonstrator or if you’d like to attend one of my future downline meetings as a guest please email me.

Happy Stamping!

Alison
