Stamp Crazy with Alison

Happy New Year!

December 31, 2007 by Alison Solven

31 Dec

Hello Stampers,

Well there are only a few hours left in 2007 and the New Year is almost here.  I hope you all have a happy and healthy year in 2008!

100_64161_2 My friend, Sue Farrant, made me this beautiful card to congratulate me on my promotion to Sr. Instructor with Stampin’ Up! in the fall.  I had been working for a few years to attain this promotion and it was so sweet of her to think to send me a card for my achievement.  Sue used one of my favourite sets (and not retiring! Yea!) Simply Said.

I’m currently stamping for a swap using products from the new Spring/Summer Collection 2008 catalogue.  I can’t wait to see what my friends come up with – they are all so talented and I’ll share their wonderful creations in a few weeks.

100_64171 Here is one of my swap cards using the Embrace Life stamp set which is one of my new favourites.  I’ve also used Purely Pomegrante and Certainly Celery along with Elegant Eggplant inks and cardstock.  I watercoloured the flowers using my Aqua Painter and ink.  The designer paper is the new Bali Breeze which is gorgeous and it has patterns that match the Purely Pomegranate in colour perfectly.

I’ve got 3 of the 4 cards designed so only one more to go…then duplicate all 4 of them for my six friends.  It’s a great way to get a variety of cards from people with different styles – my customers love looking through all the swap cards I receive.

Check back tomorrow for the next two I’ll be swapping.

Happy Stamping,

Alison

Congratulations on your promotion Alison – you’ve worked hard and deserve it. Thanks too for my lovely card – stunning. I’ll be copying it for sure!
