Hello Stampers,
When I was a kid I was always teased for my last name which was "Dickie" – the most common was dickie bird which according the dictionary are small birds. Here’s some stamping from my sister Mo Dickie using a bird…so are these "dickie birds?" LOL They are all from the new stamp set called A Little Birdie Told Me
Isn’t this cute? I love the use of 2 scallops behind the long image – what a clever use of the scallop. Mo used the textured cardstock for the scallops which added just a little bit extra by adding some dimension.
This was is brilliant. Mo used the Crop A Dile to create the embossed little circles inside the punched out ones and then stuck them back on in this pattern. We learned that you can use the Crop A Dile to make the little embossed circles when we were at Convention last summer. Shut up! (as my customers would say) The settings are A1 and you just have to press hard enough to make the little divet in the paper. I love the way the little dots from the designer paper tie in with the dimensionalized circles.
I love the rainbow colouring on this little bird. And the use of the designer paper on the umbrella is so smart. You just stamp the image onto the designer paper, cut out and the glue to the first stamped image on your project.
This card is so vibrant in "real life" with all the colours and the tie in with the embellishments in the same bright colours. So cheery!
I love the colours in this one. Notice how Mo stamped "Celebrate" and then used the paper piercer for the "…." to take you down to "good times". Very clever.
Mo also used the designer paper technique (stamping on designer paper and cutting out) for the little bird instead of colouring it in a traditional way. This is a very "happy" card.
This is an awesome little stamp set – hope you enjoyed the samples.
Happy Stamping,
Alison

some samples myself with this set for my Open House tomorrow. I am in love with those little Dickie Birds (and yes they would qualify as Dickie Birds in my Irish mind) Might make one more quickly!
Soo..when is Ms. Mo going to start her own BLOG????
These are really cute! What a talented family you have! Love the paper pieced birdie and the embossed circles…neat idea!
Funny to see me mentioned in Sue’s comment before mine!
