Stamp Crazy with Alison

rub me the right way…

January 24, 2008 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

Believe it or not I had never used Rub-ons until yesterday and now I’m hooked.  I keep looking around the house for stuff to apply them to and found a few little things…

100_64681 This is a picture of my son when he was about 10 years old with his dog Finnegan.  Note the dog on the shirt too. LOL

I used the rub-ons called Cherished Memories because I 100_64682_2 thought the sentiment "Friends Forever" was perfect for this picture.

100_64691 This is from the Sale-a-bration catalogue mini and you get FOUR sheets of rub-ons in the set Love & Happiness.  There are four colours included – Black, White, Old Olive and Close to Cocoa.   These rub-ons can be earned for FREE during our annual Sale-a-bration event which runs from Feb 1 – March 17.

I bought the little jars at Ikea and then filled them with cinnamon hearts and tied the top with our new Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  Then I applied the rub on to the jar – it was so easy even on a curved slick surface.  I did use my bone folder instead of the little popsicle stick included in the package.

100_64692 Here’s a close up of the rub on…so much fun!

Since I haven’t used rub-ons before I have to go with what "seasoned" rub on folks have told me about the quality of Stampin’ Up!’s version.  Everyone so far has been really impressed with the quality and the price is great too for the number of rub-ons included and the fact that each package contains them in BOTH black and white.

Happy Stamping,

Alison
