Stamp Crazy with Alison

Wanted…masculine cards

January 25, 2008 by Alison Solven

25 Jan

Hello Stampers,

Am I the ONLY one who loves the Wanted and Bronc Busters stamp sets? Well…except my friend Sonya.    I use them all the time and I was sad to see the Outlaw designer series papers retire from the last catalogue …. until I saw the new Western Sky designer series paper in the Spring-Summer Collection 2008.  It’s even better than Outlaw which I didn’t think possible.  Here are the colours of cardstock/ink that coordinate with each of the Designer Series papers:

Azure:   Brilliant Blue, Very Vanilla

Bali Breeze: Old Olive, Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Pumpkin

Berry Bliss: Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink Close to Cocoa

Cutie Pie:  Bashful Blue, Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Rose Red, So Saffron

East Coast Prep:  Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard

Flowers for You:  Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise

Fall Flowers:  Old Olive, Really Rust, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand

Ginger Blossom:  Ruby Red, River Rock, Cameo Coral, Groovy Guava

Jersey Shore:  Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue

LeJardin:  River Rock, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue

Notebook:  Soft Sky, Kraft, Vanilla

Olive Press:  Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Porcelain Prints:  Blue Bayou, River Rock, Wild Wasabi

Spring Break:  Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky

Spring Fling:  Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron

Spring Silhouettes:  Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla

Western Sky:  Ruby Red, River Rock, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky Azure:   Brilliant Blue, Very Vanilla

100_64671 Here is a card I came up with for my 10-4-30 class last weekend.  It would also be awesome for a masculine (or feminine) birthday card.  I love the little lasso which I attached with a glue dot.  I’ve seen this on quite a few cards so I thank the many people I CASED that from.  I’m also crazy for the Build A Brad and loved including it in this card.

I’d like to invite you to view my new website at www.asolven.stampinup.net – click on my classes to see what I’m offering in January & February.

My friend, Allison B, is addicted to all things paper and apparently all things "yarn" related too.  Very talented girl…my mother was a fabulous knitter and tried several times to teach us how to knit but to no avail.  I still have many of the adorable sweaters (you know the ones with the animals and dinosaurs on them) saved in a special momento box for my kids which I’m glad I did since my Mom has passed on now.  How can you toss out a handmade sweater – they are so adorable.  If you are also a knitter please check out Allison’s blog.

Happy Stamping!

Alison
