Markers – Tips & Tricks

February 7, 2008 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

I love my Stampin’ Write Markers – I use them for colouring, journalling, direct to rubber, omitting and many other techniques including one I’ve highlighted in my latest newsletter – combining them with ink refills for dual shading.  If you live in Canada and would like a copy of my newsletter please email me and I’d be happy to add you to my list.

Some of the best features include dual tips (one thin on for journalling and a brush end for colouring and painting) and they match our ink and cardstock so it’s easy to coordinate for your cards and scrapbook pages.  Gotta love that!

B_105541_2  You can purchase the markers in three different ways – individually for $3.95, in a neat clear plastic case by Colour Family of 12 for $39.01 which is like getting 2 markers for free, or the big kahona size – all 48 markers in a hard plastic case for $152.47 which is like getting 9 for free!

When you purchase the Many Marvelous Markers (pictured to the left) you will also earn Two FREE Sale-a-bration items from the current promotion.  If you add other items to bring your order up to $200 you will be a Hostess which earns you $20 in free merchandise and one limited edition Hostess Appreciation stamp set of your choice.  Remember with any order (any amount) you can have it shipped directly to you anywhere in Canada – just email me to place your order.

If you love the In Colours (my favourite colour is River Rock, or Purely Pomegranate or Groovy Guava…okay I love them all!) and want to have a "marker" to match them it’s really easy.  Take our Blender Pens and designate one tip of each (there are 3 in a set so 6 tips) for each of the In Colours and then dip the tip in the refill for the colour.  Let it sit in a small amount of the refill until it soaks it up.  Make sure you store them flat so that one colour doesn’t "drain" by standing them on end.  You should always store your markers horizontally so that no one end drys out.  If they do you can refresh them by placing a small amount of the refill in a cup and letting the brush end soak up the ink.  Voila…refreshed.

Happy Stamping and Marking…

Alison
