Stamp Crazy with Alison

Tart & Tangy

March 10, 2008 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

The little set Tart & Tangy from the Occasions mini is so "sweet" – you just want to bite into the strawberry, lemon (or orange), cherries, and apple.  When I first saw the set I could see using Crystal Effects, direct to rubber with the Stampin’ Write Markers, Scratch n’ Sniff technique – endless possibilities.  Plus they are the perfect size for small 3 x 3 cards.  Match them with the Summer Picnic Designer Paper and you can whip up so many cute and summer fresh cards!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi Textured, Real Red, Summer Picnic DP

Ink:  Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker, Basic Black

Other: 5/8" grograin ribbon Real Red, Scallop Punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, stampin’ dimensionals

100_66111 This is a cute little box – found the origami template on SCS by Jenn Balcher.  So cute.  I added the Summer Picnic DP to the top of the box and popped up the cherry image after layering it on the scallop punch.  I used Crystal Effects for the cherries.

The orange image has been inked up in Groovy Guava and then I used the Only Orange marker to add some extra colour – just tap the rubber with the paint end of the marker.  Then use a dauber to blend the colours so the differences aren’t so pronounced.

The strawberry is also coloured with the Stampin’ Write Markers direct to the rubber, huff and then stamp.

There are 2 of the cute projects we are doing at my Stamper’s Club this month – I love the 3 x 3 format!

Happy Stamping!

Alison
