Stamp Crazy with Alison

Scandinavian Christmas swap cards

October 11, 2008 by Alison Solven

11 Oct

Hello Stampers,

Each catalogue cycle a group of my stamper friends from the East and from the West participate in a swap.  There are seven of us – 4 from Ontario and 3 from BC.  I always love these swaps because over the years the cards I've received from these Stampin' Up! demos (and friends) have been some of my customers favourites.

I will focus on one artist per post – first up…my sister, Mo Dickie, from Toronto.  Click on her name and you can email her for information about her upcoming classes and clubs – her projects are always fabulous! Mo used the stamp set Scandinavian Season from the Holiday Mini Catalouge.

First up is this adorable card using the scallop piece from the Pennant Die (exclusive to SU!) for the Big Shot machine.  Isn't this clever with the little mittens?  AND the mittens aren't cut out from one of the shapes in the set!  This is really sweet and so clever.

This is so pretty and elegant.  I love the way Mo used the "Joy" – another die from SU! for the Big Shot.

This card is so elegant – just stunning!  I love the addition of glitter and the filigree brad (new!) and pearl in the corner.  The paper is Ski Slope DP.

100_7790-1 Here's the last  card from MO – again she has used a SU! exclusive die for the Big Shot – this time it's the Tulipe Big Die – fabulous!

100_7816-1 One last card to share with you – this card was created using the same stamp set but was created by one of my downline – Karen Bernoe.  I'm always raving about Karen's card and this one is NO exception. I'm just in awe of her talent.

Hope you enjoyed a Scandinavian Christmas!

Happy Stamping,

Alison
