Stamp Crazy with Alison

What’s Hockey Got to Do with It?

December 19, 2013 by Alison Solven

19 Dec

Hello Stampers,

Stampin' Up! has the most beautiful stamp designs covering pretty much every occasion you can think of…however…they don't have everything (insert gasp here!).  BUT when they don't have something you are looking for you can carve it yourself!

My friend, Kristine Burns and I are are Stampin' Up! demonstrators, Moms, crafters and best of all…Vancouver Canucks hockey fans (I would call us super fans!).  So imagine my delight when Kristine gave me this card!  Oh my goodness…she carved the original logo design for our team with the kit and stamped me this card!  The logo is the hockey stick on the envelope! LOVE IT!

Isn't this spectacular?  And Kristine assures us all that it's pretty easy to do. You find an image online and then print it off, outline in pencil and then transfer the image to the rubber (rubbing it so the pencil lines transfer).  She then used the tools in the kit to carve the stamp!  Amazing! Here's a quick video showing you how to do it yourself.

Isn't that awesome?!  You know you want it right…so here are the order numbers:

133402LUndefined Stamp Carving Kit – #133402 – $25.95

Undefined Refill Kit – #134808 – $12.95
