Stamp Crazy with Alison

What’s Up with Washi?

December 14, 2013 by Alison Solven

Hello Stampers,

It's time for our weekly Border Buddy Post – Alison here!

I love Washi Tape and I've found that it's the easiest and fastest way to add interest to your cards!  Here are some ways you can use Washi Tape in your own card designs.

I've used the Season of Style Designer Washi Tape from the Holiday Mini along with a new Washi tape coming in the Occasions Catalogue (which launches January 3rd).  This is the same card but presented in two ways – portrait and landscape.  Which do you like better?  Leave a comment to let Patsy and I know!

Here's a video showing you how to create this card at home:

And Washi is not just for Christmas Cards – here are some of my favourite cards using different Washi Tape in the catalogue:

Use the Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape #131269

Love how Karen has stamped on the Washi – I would recommend using Black Staz On for this technique!

This is a card I made last year – there is a video showing you how to use the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape (#129314) in this unique way – just click here to watch it!

    Hi Alison

These are both great washi tape cards and I have to say, I’d have a hard time choosing just one style, so I guess I’ll have to make them both.

    Merry Christmas. Regards, Carol
