Hello Stampers,
I spent the other day making samples using the Pedal Pushers Stamp Set – a FREE item you can pick with any order of $60 or more during Sale-a-bration. The promotion ends March 31st so you'll want to make sure to place your order and earn this adorable stamp set for FREE! I hope you like today's card – I've included a PDF tutorial at the end of this post – make sure to download it and make the card yourself!
The stamp set includes the tandem bike and some adorable "add ons" you can stamp on the bike. The stamps are photopolymer so you can see right through them for easy placement of the basket, birds, flag and basket items.
This card is so cute! I got it all finished and then realized I needed to re-ink my stamp pad – of course it was my Basic Black Archival ink pad and a tiny little drop of ink landed plop right in the middle of my card. Does that ever happen to you? So I had two choices…either re-do the card or cover up the blotch. There is a saying in crafting 'it's not a mistake, it's a creative opportunity" so I went with the latter and added the "I'm here for you…" sentiment.
I stamped it in Versamark and embossed in Black Stampin' Emboss powder and then cut out each word individually. The bike is also embossed in black and the words are embossed in white.
The bike is coloured in with a variety of Stampin' Write Markers. I added the little pennants by punching them out of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper with the Banner Punch. I strung it with Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine and secured it with Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape.
I love the summery look of this card.
