It's time for another Just in CASE post. Every Thursday (Patsy & I) post a card that has either been inspired by a card in the current catalogue or is a direct copy. We might switch up the colours, stamps or accessories.
The inspiration for today's card is featured on page 73 of the Annual Catalogue. The original is actually a little gift bag and I used the elements on the front to create a card.
I started with the Layering Love Stamp Set because I love the sayings. I used the Lots of Labels framelits to create the base of the tag and then used a smaller framelit for the next layer. I cut off the bottom of this label and rounded the lower two corners with the Project Life Corner punch. The top piece was cut and the banner tail was cut free hand.
I popped up the entire label with dimensionals to give the card some depth. The hearts are Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes.
I cut the edge from the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon and then pulled some threads off to make the bow at the top of the tag. The first layer is embossed with the new Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the next layer is cut from the gorgeous Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I wanted to recreate the edge on the bag so I cut an oval (3 3/4" wide in the middle) with the Layering Ovals Framelits die, cut in half lengthwise and attached it to a piece of Crumb Cake.
