It's Just in CASE Thursday. CASE stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING and my Border Buddy, Patsy Waggoner, and I pick a project from our current catalogues and either copy it exactly or change up the colours or stamp set to make a new look. I love CASEing because it makes it so easy to be creative when you start with a layout or colour combo and work from there.
Today's card is based on a project from page 35 of the Annual Catalogue using the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set.
I took the tag from the project and made it into the focal point of my card. I loved how it turned out and it was such an easy card to make.
I started by embossing the snowflake in Gold on a piece of Whisper White. I then added the stars in Early Espresso ink and stamped "Wishing You" in the same ink on a banner. The "peace" is cut out with the die from Christmas Greetings Thinlits. I cut the circles (stamped piece and scallop layer) with the Layering Circle Framelits. The card front is embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing folder. Then I just assembled the card and added some ribbon.
The ribbons are the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine and Gold 1/8" Ribbon. I tied simple bows and added them with Mini Glue Dots.
Here are the products I used in my card today (click on the pictures to be taken to my online store):
