Stamp Crazy with Alison

Just in Case – Stitched Shapes Christmas!

November 17, 2016 by Alison Solven

17 Nov

It's Just in CASE Thursday and today I'm sharing a card I saw on the demonstrator side of our Stampin' Up! website with my own twist.  CASE means copy and share everything – you can copy exactly or change up the stamps, colours or embellishments to make it your own.  This is a series Patsy (my border buddy) and I have been having fun sharing with you and every Thursday we each create a CASED card – and one the best parts is that we don't see each others project until you do!

I'm loving the Stitched Shapes Framelits and if you've been following my blog this week you'll see just how much! I love how you can cut out the shape (oval, circle and square) and the piercing holes all in the same pass with your Big Shot.  How cool is that?!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Stitched Shapes Framelits dies are so popular that they are on backorder.  The order number will be turned off on November 21st so buy them NOW! When stock is replenished they will turn the order number back on.

This card was created using the Flurry of Wishes and Greetings from Santa stamp sets.  The Greetings from Santa is one of the stamp sets on sale during November for 25% off the regular price.

Here is the original card which inspired by card today, a card by our Stampin' Up! concept artists and featured on the demonstrator side of our website.

I switched up the stamps and the colours but the overall sketch is the same. What do you think?

I cut out the oval shape first and then used Old Olive ink to stamp the tree from Greetings from Santa several times on the tag without reinking some of them.  This creates some depth to the images. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and gold embossed and the snow flakes are stamped randomly in Pool Party.  Both images are from Flurry of Wishes stamp set from our Annual Catalogue.
