Just in Case – Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die

It's Just in CASE Thursday so time to share I card inspired by a project in one of our current catalogues.  My Border Buddy, Patsy Waggoner, and I have been having so much fun with this series of weekly blog posts.

CASE = COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING

I love to CASE which means to copy a project exactly or change the stamps, colours and embellishments and put your own twist on the card. 

Today's card was inspired by a card on page 72 of the Annual Catalogue featuring the Happy Happenings Stamp Set and the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

I substituted the dragonflies from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die and cut each one out form the bigger piece.

 I ended up cutting out the dragonfly at the top of the string three times so I could easily capture them.

I created a colour wash with inks and Aqua Painters on Shimmery White cardstock which is perfect for watercolouring.  It also adds a shimmer to your card which is fun! I added rhinestones to the dragonflies just for some added bling.

Colours used – Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party.
