First off today I want to wish all my Canadian friends, family and customers a very Happy Thanksgiving. I have many things to be thankful for in my life.
It's Card Swap Sunday – the day I share a card I've received in a swap or made for a swap. Today's card was created by Melva Peters and it's absolutely stunning!!
Melva's card featured the Musical Season stamp set from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue paired with Merry Music Specialty Designer Paper. I love how Melva cut out the French Horn from Gold Foil Sheets and added some Gold Metallic Thread and some pearls. This card is actually not difficult to make but it's so elegant and is definitely a WOW.
The Merry Music Specialty Designer Paper is my favourite from the Holiday Catalogue. I love black and white and even though it's not a traditional Christmas combination the music notes are perfect. The music is actually the sheet music for many of our favourite Christmas Carols including Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls.

The bough is stamped in Old Olive ink on Old Olive cardstock and then cut out with the matching die. It's nice when stamp sets have a matching punch or framelit so there is no fussy cutting.

Happy Thanksgiving! The video of the papers is lovely. I love the card by Melva Peters. Is it difficult to punch out the little bits of the French Horn? I recall trying to punch out the manywee bits of a doily framelit or perhaps it was not a framelit, but a die cut from stampin up in the past. Have the framelits improved so that punching little bits is less of a problem?
