It's Just in CASE Thursday and time for my weekly post of a project I've made inspired by something from one of our current catalogues. Today's card is based on a card using the Year of Cheer Suite on page 36 in the Holiday Catalogue. Here is the card from the catalogue designed by the concept artists at Stampin' Up!
and here is my take on this pretty card.
I started with the new Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which I love because it fills the background and gives texture to a card. I switched out the saying to one in the Nature Sings Stamp Set in the Annual Catalogue (page 115). I also used the gorgeous Gold Metallic Ribbon instead of the Silver Mini Sequins.
All the copper, silver and gold elements make for a very elegant Christmas card. If you switched out the embossing folder and the saying this would also make a lovely Wedding card. The Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunning:

I love the Winter Wonderland embossing folder….it makes such a statement on a card by itself!
I find it hard to leave a background plain. I often use embossing folders to add that texture.
Really a lovely card! The Year of Cheer DP looks so rich.
