It's Just in Case Thursday, the day that Patsy Waggoner and I share a card we've made based on a card in one of our current publications. It's called CASEing…copy and share everything. Sometimes we CASE it exactly and sometime we change out the stamps, ink, embellishments to make it our own.
Today I'm sharing a card I made based on a card on page 156 of the Annual Catalogue using the Garden in Bloom stamp set.
I changed the stamp set to Perennial Birthday from the Occasions Catalogue.
I love how it turned out – such fresh and springy colours. I made this card on a dark and dreary day here in Vancouver – cold and rainy. My Scottish Mum would have called it a "dreich" day but this colour combination felt sunny and bright!
- dreich – Damp, overcast, wet
I stamped the flowers in Archival Black ink so I could watercolour using classic inks with the Aqua Painter. I used the Tutti-frutti 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalogue and tied the bow with Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon. I added a little Wink of Stella to the flowers to make them sparkle.

This is such a great "sketch" that you could use over and over again. Just switch out the stamps and patterned paper and you get a totally different look. I made another card using the Truly Tailored stamp set that I'll share with you in tomorrow's post. Here's a sneak peek; check back tomorrow!
