It's Just in Case Thursday! This is a weekly series where Patsy Waggoner and I share a card inspired by a project in one of our current publications. Sometimes we CASE (copy and share everything) exactly and sometimes we use it as a starting point to create a totally different card!
Today I'm use the Southern Serenade Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue and is based on a card from page 158 of the Annual Catalogue using Wood Words. Here is the original card:
Here is my version using the Southern Serenade Stamp Set.
The stamp set is perfect for this monochromatic version and the layout is so simple to recreate with lots of different images and patterned paper. I coloured the White Perfect Accents with the Bronze Stampin' Blend and added a few to the center of the flowers.
If you haven't used the 1/4" Copper Trim yet you have to check it out – it's got a fabulous shimmer and you can fray the ends for a rustic look.
I love the lacy background stamp that's included in the set -it's so light and pretty and can be used to create an easy background on any card.

Great card Alison
Just used the copper trim at a work shop a few weeks ago. Love how you can stretch it out to give it so much width.Sparkly, yet rustic at the same time.
Thanks Cheryl It’s an easy one for sure!
I agree – I forgot all about it. Love how you can fray the ends too for an even more rustic look.
