Today I'm excited to participate in a blog hop featuring the amazing products from the Snowflake Showcase Promotion coming on November 1st! The products include two amazing stamp sets, a gorgeous 20 piece die set, yummy velvet paper and some adorable sparkly snowflake trinkets.
My card for today's blog hop uses the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set and coordinating Snowfall Thinlits Dies. The dies also coordinate with the other stamp set in the promotion called Happiness Surrounds.
The Snow is Glistening Stamp Set is charming and has 14 photopolymer stamps in the set. I love the font used in the sentiments and the tree is stunning, especially when you emboss it.
The Snowfall Thinlits Dies has 20 pieces! They coordinate with both the Snow is Glistening and Happiness Surrounds Stamp Sets. You can use the dies with the stamps or alone to create your own blizzard!
Let me tell you a bit about my card. I stamped some snowflakes in Versamark ink and added White Emboss Powder and heat set it. This is called Emboss Resist because when you add ink the embossed snowflakes resist the ink so they pop off the page. I created a glimmer spray in my spritzer. I filled 3/4 of the spritzer with rubbing alcohol and added 2-3 drops of Pool Party re-inker and a few drops of the Frost White Shimmer Paint. I then spritzed it over Whisper White cardstock and let it dry. When you use rubbing alcohol the liquid evaporates faster than water and allows your piece to dry faster.
It really sparkles in real life. I added more sparkle by cutting some snowflakes from the Sparkle Glimmer Paper (from the Annual Catalogue) and the Pool Party and Silver Baker's Twine which also has some bling. The Swirls & Curls Dynamic Embossing Textured Impressions Folder from the Holiday Catalogue works beautiful to create the illusion of a snowstorm and add dimension to the card front.
