Today I’m sharing a Sunday Sketch with Harvest Meadow Suite Collection. The weather in Vancouver is changing and we are enjoying sunny but crisper temperatures.
Each Sunday I share a card made with our exclusive Border Buddy Sunday Sketches. This week I have a little twist. I used our sketch but I also based my card elements on a swap card I received from a friend. So I guess you could say it’s a Sunday CASE.

Sunday sketch

I started by turning the sketch to landscape from portrait. That’s the great thing about a sketch. You can copy it exactly or just use it as a starting point for your own card design.

I love the Cork 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and I think it added a great pop of colour along with dimension. The paper is actual cork so it has texture which is so cool. I embossed the Soft Succulent pieces using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. The label elements were cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
If you like to colour with our Stampin’ Blends the images in the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set are perfect. They are large enough so you can layer colour but not too large so the colouring is easy.
Facebook Live video sharing directions
I created this card on my Facebook Live on September 29th. Here’s the video if you’d like to watch it and create along with me. Join me very Sunday at 10 am PT on my Facebook Page or YouTube Channel.

The card I received from my friend is a buckle card. If you are ever “stuck” and think you’ve lost your mojo try looking at cards in your stash and use the same layout but change out the stamps, dies, colours and elements. Or just switch up the elements and made a totally different card!
