Which Poinsettia Petals card do you like best?

Each Sunday I share a card made using one of our exclusive Border Buddy sketches. Here’s the sketch I used for today’s card. I ended up making two versions. Which do you prefer?

I love how this sketch works for so many stamps, patterned papers and dies. Today I’m using non-traditional Christmas colours including Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzaz. I added a touch of gold for the centre of the flowers.

I changed up my second card by removing the Basic White layer and creating a focal point with the poinsettia and the Gold Shimmer Ribbon.

alternative card using the sketch with Snowflake Wishes

My alternative card uses the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and So Many Snowflakes Dies from the Annual Catalogue. I change it slightly which is the beauty of a sketch. It’s a starting point for your creation and you can add and subtract elements. I used the snowflake folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders for this layout. I hope you can see how you can make so many cards using the same sketch.

Last year I made a pretty monochromatic card and although some of the products have retired I hope it gives you an idea for a pretty elegant Christmas card design. Click here to view.
