Stamp Crazy with Alison

Good things come in small packages…

Hello Stampers,

I love my new Three for You punch kit which arrived yesterday – I took advantage of the Stampin’ Up! special and received 30 textured 3 x 3 cards and envelopes for FREE. The offer is good until the end of August – plus I have my own add on special – contact me for more details!

100_5775 Here are two cards I came up with quickly using the smaller 3 x 3 format.

The first one uses the Wild Wasabi textured card (received for free as part of the special) along with River Rock and Whisper White card stock.  I used the Define Yourself set and Defining Alphabet to create a card for a "favourite friend".  The "label" and "flower" are die cuts from the Build A Flower Accents & Elements tin.  I created the raised embossed "dots" with the Crop A Dile – did you know you could "emboss" with this great tool in addition to punching holes through multiple thicknesses including metal and leather?  So cool – we learned this cool trick at Convention.

The second card uses Purely Pomegranate and River Rock card stock. I punch a 1 1/4" circle in the PP cardstock.  Then I punched the same size circle in the River Rock card stock.  I overlayed the scallop punch over the hole in the River Rock, centering the hole inside the scallop.  That created the scallop frame which I popped up with dimensionals over the hole in the PP card.  I stamped the ladybug from Whimsical Garden in PP ink on Very Vanilla cardstock that I layered inside the card.  I finished it off with some PP double stitched ribbon and anchored it with 2 staples – brads would also work nicely!

100_5810 My friend Liane and I were stamping together and came up with some more cute 3 x 3 cards for our collection…it’s kind of addicting because you can whip up so many cards quickly.

Here’s a close up of the one that can’t be seen in this picture to the left. 100_58021

Happy Stamping!

Alison
