It's time for our monthly Colour Your World blog hop with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe!
This month we chose a really fun summery palette with one of our new In Colors – Flirty Flamingo! I wanted to try and use as many of the colours as I could this month and I managed to use all five of them on my card!
I'm loving so many of the new products from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue but I'm especially loving stamp sets that have matching framelits – no fussy cutting! I used the Sweet Cupcake with the matching Cupcake Cutouts Framelits and the Birthday Banners stamp set with the matching Bunch of Banners Framelits. Both of the stamp sets are photopolymer so it's easy peasy to line up the stamps to get a perfect placement.
The cupcake frosting and cupcake liner are both 3-step stamping images. 2 step stamping (or 3 in this case) is simple – you start with a light colour for your base and then add darker colours with each layer. It really makes the cupcake "pop" off the page. Cutting the pieces out is a dream with the matching framelits. Even the candle and flame are easy to stamp and cut out as they have matching framelits too!
The banner and words are also easy to line up and cut out.
I added Wink of Stella Glimmer to the dark areas of my cupcake frosting to add a little bling. I hope you can see it in this picture. I'm addicted to Wink of Stella!
