Stamp Crazy with Alison

Snowflake Wishes

December 12, 2021 by Alison Solven

12 Dec

Today I’m sharing a card using the Snowflake Wishes and So Many Snowflakes Dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. It’s a CASE of a card from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue. CASE stands for (Copy And Selectively Edit).   The original card used the Merry Snowflakes Bundle.

Snowflake Wishes Just in Case

When you CASE, you can copy it exactly, or selectively edit it by changing the colors or the stamp set or both. Today I changed the paper, colours and stamps. Sometimes I find that if I CASE a card I find it easier to get my creative juices flowing.

Snowflake Wishes & So Many Snowflakes Dies

I kept the layout similar to the original and changed the stamps/dies and the colours. I love Highland Heather paired with Gorgeous Grape and the touch of silver from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper adds some elegance.

The monochromatic effect of the snowflakes being the same colour as the card layer is very effective. I did add some Highland Heather ink to the snowflakes with a sponge dauber. The sentiment from Snowflake Wishes is so pretty and I love the font.

If you are stuck for ideas our concept artists designs in our publications are the perfect place to start. This layout could be adapted to so many different patterned papers and stamps. The cards featured here use the snowflakes as a positive image and also the negative on the upper right card.
